Writeable DITA-Map-in-Resolved-Topics-"Mode"
Post by scalderwood »
Hi,
Right now oXygen has a great feature where you can right click on a DITA map in the Maps manager and open it in a read-only file with topics resolved. It would be incredibly useful for my purposes if this wasn't read only but rather writeable. Essentially, it would be perfect if I could edit topics in context of the DITA map in a single file.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Writeable DITA-Map-in-Resolved-Topics-"Mode"
Hi Steve,
I understand the request and we'll discuss making such an improvement in a future version.
Of course, the use case does not really fit in with the DITA modularity and architecture which states that each topic should have a meaning of its own. Oxygen can open the DITA Map with resolved topic for a small to medium DITA Project but as your project will grow and have thousands of topics at one point Oxygen will not be able to show it all as a single monolithic document.
Regards,
Radu
