Framework Location Problem
Hi all,
I have always been putting any customized framework folder under the
"C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor 12\frameworks" path, which makes
perfect sense for us as the default Oxygen Editor setting.
However, since there are nearly 50 persons that are using the customized folder on their own machines, once we decide to make a change to this framework type, then we need to roll-out the changes to 50 machines. So I am just curious if there is a way to put a customized framework folder in another location, for example, a server, rather than in "C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor 12\frameworks", then all those computers can just simply refer to this framework that are on the server, to get it to work.
Thanks for any help in advance!

Re: Framework Location Problem
Hi,
In the Oxygen Preferences->Global page you have an option to set a Custom frameworks location.
This location can be set to the path of a shared network folder where an entire frameworks directory must be shared (containing your custom framework directory).
So if each user has this setting set to the same network folder then they will use the same framework from that location.
Another approach which was suggested by one of our users:
Create a custom Workspace Access plugin which when Oxygen starts checks if a framework's content has been changed on disk and if so overwrites the framework with content from the web. The downside is that Oxygen must be installed in a folder with full user privileges.

Radu
