Problem with inline bold and italic text in DITA transformat

Post by chymical »

Hi,

I am using Oxygen 12 and transforming my DITA files into PDF. I have some text marked up using the DITA bold or italic elements, but when the transformation to PDF occurs, the text does not appear as bold or italic. When I look at the .fo file, the bold or italic attribute is in the <fo:inline> elements that have been created to hold the text. Does anyone know why this is being ignored? The rest of the transformation seems to be ok, including other text that is defined as bold with other elements, for example, titles.

Hi John,

I cannot reproduce the problem. Could you send us a small DITA sample for it? Maybe it depends on the context in which you use the <b> and <i> tags.

Hi,

The problem seemed to be that I was using the font ArialUnicodeMS. I do not know why, but when I changed the font, the problem went away...
