Proxy server problems
Hi,
I'm trying to validate an XML document that references an external schema document. I'm on Windows XP and behind a proxy server and I've configured Oxygen to use the System Settings for the proxy server and provided username and password in the Web Proxy authentication section.
However, when I try to validate the document I get a response saying the external schema can not be found.
"Engine name: Xerces
Severity: error
Description: schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document 'http://schemas.opengis.net/iso/19139/20 ... md/gmd.xsd', because 1) could not find the document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not <xsd:schema>.
URL: http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-1/#schema_reference
"
I'm sure the document does exist, because when I try to validate the document at home (without a proxy), it validates fine.
I tried the same validation (behind the proxy server) with XML Notepad and Stylus Studio and they validate the document without any problem. Point is, I love working with Oxygen and don't want to use the other software.
Hope someone can share some insights.
regards,
Marc

Re: Proxy server problems
Hello,
What version and build number of Oxygen are you using(Help -> About)?
To test if the proxy works in Oxygen, use File -> Open URL and type or paste the URL there.
Have you tried using the proxy without specifying a username and a password in the options?
Regards,
Adrian
