OS 10.5 Cursor movement problem

Post by HapWander »

Hello --

Two of my coworkers are using Oxygen 8.2 and were recently upgraded to OS X 10.5.6. Upon upgrade their up/down cursor arrows no longer work as such but move the scrollbar up and down instead.

I don't have this problem myself as I have Oxygen 9.1 and OS 10.4.11. However, as our whole department is slated for an OS upgrade, I'd like to nip this problem in the bud if possible.

Is there anything within Oxygen's preferences (even with a patch) that will control or disable this arrow-key problem? If not, does Oxygen 9.1 or above address this issue?

Thanks for whatever help you may provide.

Hi Dennis,

This problem appeared in September 2008 as a result of some changes in the Apple JVM. We provided a new build to work around that issue in a couple of days. At that time oXygen was at version 9 so the fix is included in version 9 and version 10. With version 9 please make sure you get the latest version 9 release, 9.3, available from our software archive page

I'm having this problem with OxygenXML 8.2 after an upgrade to Snow Leopard. Is there a fix for me?

Thanks.

Hello,

Unfortunately Snow Leopard broke the backwards compatibility with a lot of Java applications including Oxygen. This OS is supported starting with Oxygen 9.3 so I'm afraid you will have to upgrade.
