[FTP] Can browse the folders but cannot open a file

Post by colinm »

Hello,

I run XML Editor 11.2, build 201004121 on Windows XP SP3

In my FTP server, in the Data sources explorer, when I double-click a file I get the following error:
Cannot open the specified file:
Specified file does not exist: file:/C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/user/Desktop/ftp:/UserName:Password@myserver.com:2211/folder%20name/file.xml
I get a similar message when I try to move a file.
  • I configured my FTP server as a new WebDAV/FTP data source.
  • I specified the port number in the address (ftp://myserver.com:2211)
  • I can download/upload files with Filezilla (FTP client) with the same configuration
Anyone has similar problems? That's really annoying not to be able to open file from a FTP server. That's a pretty basic feature :(

Hello,

This is a known problem caused by special characters(escapable characters) present in the username or password. We are currently working on a fix.
