Webdav Performance w.r.t FTP

Hi,
I am using Webdav in one of my applications. I found out that it is about 3 times faster than FTP. Can someone explain why is it so?

Hi,

Do you have both the FTP and the WebDAV servers on the same machine ?
If not then the different network connection will explain why you get that.
