Configuring toolbar in author mode

Post by leb »

Hi,

Hi,
I manipulate documents Oxygen Autheur fulltag mode, and I'd like to delete (or invisible) the toolbar buttons manage track changing and the combo css.
Is that can be done from the menu option of oxygen?
Thank you in advance for your reply

Hello,

Yes you can make them invisible. You need to right click on the Oxygen toolbars and then, from the contextual menu that appears, uncheck the toolbars you wish to hide. Oxygen will remember this layout from now on until you reset it with the "Perspective/Reset layout" action.

Hello,
thanks. But this menu only allows me to customize the main toolbar of oxygen. I want to make invisible buttons Tracks changes of the toolbar of the automatic mode Autheur: This toolbar appears and disappears depending authomatiquement I am in text mode or author.

I am sorry I don't understand exactly what you mean.
If you right-click on the Oxygen toolbar you will get a contextual menu. One of the entries refers to the "Author track changes". If you uncheck this entry the track changes toolbar will become invisible. I'm guessing that you are using the french translated interface so the toolbar name is "Suivi des Modifications Auteur".
The buttons on the toolbar cannot be made invisible individually, only the whole section of toolbar related to the track changes can be hidden.
When switching to the Text mode the Author toolbars become all invisible because the actions are not available in this editing mode. This includes the track changes actions.
I hope this helps you.

Hello,
ok, I see. That said, I forgot to say that I use oxygen eclipse plugin version. So, when I right click from the toolbar oxygen perspective, I can only 3 "Lock the toolbar", "Customize the view", "Hide the toolbar ".... In which 3 are the option that you talked?

Hello,

I'm sorry, I should have asked you if you are running the standalone application or the Eclipse plugin, in the first place. Now I can see where our misunderstanding is coming from.
In this case then (the Eclipse plugin), the "Author" toolbars cannot be hidden. I filled a request on our issue tracker to analyze this and see if it can be done. We will let you know about its progress.

Thank you,
Iulian

Hi,
And if instead of deleting it, we just wanted the customise it: what is there a way to just make insible 1 or 2 items (useless for me) from the toolbar?

Thank you for your answers

Hello,

This possibility is not currently available but as I said there is an issue request regarding this improvement that will be implemented in a future release.
