HELP! Apache FOP:The process 'FOP' ended with code: 1 Error

Post by AmyC »

The minute I changed the body.start.indent parameter from default to "0", I received a transformation failed error, "The process 'FOP' ended with code:1."
When I changed the above parameter back to the default value, it still failed.
It was working fine right before I changed the above parameter.

(The double.sided parameter is set to "0", so that's not it.)

Any ideas?

Thanks! Amy

Hello,

I don't get an error if I change only the body.start.indent parameter, for example in the predefined scenario DocBook PDF. Did you change also other parameters in your DocBook transformation? What are the values of all the parameters that do not have the default value that is set in the DocBook stylesheets? These parameters are displayed with normal font in the Configure Parameters dialog. The default value parameters are displayed with lighter font in the same dialog and if you want to edit them the Disable button is not enabled because this button reverts the edited parameter to the default value (which was never changed for parameters that were not edited so the Disable action does not make sense for default value parameters).

A small sample of a DocBook document would also be useful for reproducing the error and suggesting a solution.

What Oxygen version do you use?

Hi Sorin,

Thanks for your reply.

Using the predefined DocBook PDF seemed to have fixed the problem. The PDF generates beautifully!

Thanks again,

Amy
