Spell check - remember results

it would be nice to remember spell check results - repeated spell check of an open file does not check everething again - only updated strings.

Hello,

Do you mean to check only the text strings that were modified since the last spell check? If you already spell checked a document then a future spell check can detect any new problem only in the modified text. There is no need to apply the spell check strictly only on the modified text because new spell problems will occur only in modified or new text anyway.

What you are asking means making an internal diff between the version of the document when the last spell check was applied and the current version of the document when the new spell check is started. Storing the version of the document at the last spell check means too many internal temporary save operations. On large documents that is a performance problem.
