Anyone using XProc?

Post by Zearin »

I've recently become interested in XProc, and I'm wondering if anybody else is using it.

Good things?

Bad things?

How-to's or advice?

Hi Zearin,

Yes, there are quite a few oXygen users that use XProc. Until we will have native XProc support in oXygen please see

and

There is an XProc tutorial here

The xproc-dev mailing list is active. See the following page for details about how to join the mailing list

I actually got your reply when you first posted, but it took me until a few days ago to actually get Calabash working in Oxygen. I think I had to add a few more JAR files to the -classpath command than was listed in the tutorial.

But now I have a working Calabash installation! Yay!

Thanks so much for your help! I've only scratched the surface with Xproc, but it is fantastic! Now I don't have to bang my head against the wall trying to make Ant do what I want it to! :)

Now if there would be an XProc Ant task, that would be fine  A build could then pass all XML related stuff to this task, that runs the pipe from within the task, using all other Ant goodies.

Hi Andreas,

Maybe you can post this improvement request on the xproc dev-list:
