set default XPath version in XPath builder

Wondering if this is something I simply overlooked. But I can't find a place where I could set the default version of XPath used in the XPath Builder. This is something I always need to set manually, and it gets irritating after a while.

There is a nice place for this setting, under Options/XML/XPath...

Hello,

The default XPath version used in the XPath Builder view at startup is 2.0 and if you change it from the combo box the view keeps your change when you close and reopen the view. But you are right, the default XPath version set at startup cannot be set. We will consider adding a user preference for that. We should use such a preference for the default XPath version in the XPath toolbar too.

Sorin, thanks for the response. If the default version in my installation now were 2.0, I would be quite happy. But for some reason it is 1.0 and I always need to remember to reset it. But it's good to know you are considering adding the extra functionality to the "options" menu.

Edit: I see what you meant, when I reset the version in the toolbar to 2.0, it perists and shows up as 2.0 in the builder. Thanks for the tip!

In older versions the default XPath version was 1.0 but in the recent versions it is 2.0. We may add a preference for setting the default XPath version.
