XPath find in files
Are you missing a feature? Request its implementation here.
XPath find in files
I'm working with a number of XML files which all correspond to the same schema. I'm looking to update a particular element in file which has it. With Oxygen 6 I have to open up each file and run the XPath query for each open file. Would it be possible to have the "Find in Files..." dialog search using XPath?
Thanks,
Rob
Thanks,
Rob
Re: XPath find in files
bump
I would also like to make a request for this feature.
From some other posts, it sounds that the underlying parser can handle the feature request
"Find in Files" xpath.
It seems OxygenXML only needs to add this feature to the "Find in Files" dialog.

Hello,
The parser that applies an XPath expression on an XML file is not the same parser that matches text search expressions with the content of text files. However he already have this feature request logged in our internal system and it will be implemented in a future version.

Sorin

Re: XPath find in files
Hi,
XPath support has been added to the 'Find/Replace in Files' dialog and will be available in version 11.1 which should be released very soon.

If you have bought Oxygen with a (Support and) Maintenance Pack or a Maintenance Pack separately you may be entitled to a free upgrade.
Otherwise you will have to buy an upgrade: http://www.oxygenxml.com/buy.html
Please write to us to support@oxygenxml.com and let us know the registration name or SGN(can be found in Help -> About) used on your license key and we will clarify your license status.

Re: XPath find in files
If you have a maintenance pack then you should be able to use also version 11.1. You can request your order history from
http://www.oxygenxml.com/order_history.html
Otherwise you need only an upgrade license to move from version 10 to version 11.

George
