Out of memory

Just installed v2 on Win2K Java 1.3. Had same problem with 1.24

Trying to open an XMl file with an XSD. The XML file is a little over 7MB, I get an error:

Cannot open the specified file! : java.lang,OutOfMemoryError-null

Watching the memory it is erroring at abot 190MB between Physical and Virtual. Help file says default is 256MB and that can be changed in the startup file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Please start the application using the oXygen.bat file and eventually edit this file as specified in the user guide:
Chapter 2. Installation/Preferences/Memory Management.
If you start it with the oxygen.exe it will get the default maximum memory which is much less than 256Mb.

Also you may try opening your file in the tree view as this has less memory requirements than the text view.
