No PDF2 Bookmarks with FOP
Hi
I am trying out Oxygen and i am v. impressed so far. There is one issue though:
When I publish to PDF2 using the Idiom plugin and the built-in Apache FOP processor I don't get any bookmarks in the pdf - other than a link to the contents page. When I publish to PDF with DITA OT and FOP no problem. No problem either when I use XEP to process the PDF2.
I'm an XSL-FO newbie so I appreciate the ease with which the Idiom PDF2 files can be customized (much easier than the PDF). And while XEP is excellent, the personal edition does append a footer to every page you build.
Is there anyway to get the Idiom plugin to generate PDF2 bookmarks correctly? Am I doing something wrong?
thanks in advance
Zev

Hello,
The pdf2 transform was not optimized for working with FOP. The original pdf2 transform that was added to DITA Open Toolkit uses Idiom with XEP and there was no effort for optimizing Idiom to work with FOP. You should use Idiom with XEP. RenderX has a special package that includes the XEP engine called DocBench.

Sorin
