Display tags only on some elements (Author view)

Hi,

We use the "tag display mode".

Is there a possibility (eg based on the namespace or CSS) to choose whether certain tags should be displayed or not when this mode is enabled?

For example, the "block tags" mode is very good, but the users would like not to see tags around the elements <i> or <b> (and others). Because those elements are not significant for the structure but they are many and can "pollute" the uselessly the text.

To summarize, we would like to be able to control on which tag this "tag display mode" is applicable.
