Upgrade installation directories
I have upgraded from 9.1 to 9.3 on my Windows machine. In doing the upgrade, when the install4j installation manager warned me that installing into the same directory would overwrite the previous installation, I told it to go ahead and do it anyway. When I opened the new 9.3 version, I found that it had maintained my configuration settings, including my frameworks and, apparently, my license key, as I had hoped.
So what I'm asking here is, out of curiosity, why does it say on the oXygen Web site that "A new version of <oXygen/> should not be installed in the same folder as a previous version"? My experience was that using the installer provided, the upgrade was very smooth doing precisely this, and maintained my config settings.
Thanks,
Stewart

Hello,
You are right, the Windows installer upgrades a previous version to the current one smoothly. We will remove that note from the Download notes of the Windows install kit and the Linux one. The note is intended for the Mac OS X kit and the All Platforms kit because they are not wizards that uninstall automatically the previous version from the install folder and this can create some conflicts between different versions (having different file names) of a library installed by the two different Oxygen versions.
Regards,
Sorin
