Anything is probably possible with some investment, the plugin is open source, it's based on XSLT stylesheets which can be improved or changed. We (the Oxygen team) know little about the learning and training domain in general and we'll probably not invest in working on this in the future. Maybe you can add an issue on the plugins' issues list:

You can also ask around on the DITA Users List, maybe there are people who have done this for their company and willing to share the results.
