Update references in Archive Browser
Post by northgardner »
I am editing EPUB files. When I change the name of a file within the archive, can Oxygen update references to that file? I see documentation on how to do this in the Project View but not the Archive Browser. Does that mean that I have to unzip the file and edit in in Project View for references to update automatically?

Re: Update references in Archive Browser
Hi,
Indeed Oxygen does not automatically update references when renaming resources inside an EPUB archive. We have an opened issue for this and I will add your feedback to it.
If resources are directly referenced in the Oxygen Project view, indeed Oxygen can use its Master Files support to detect if various files are xi:included or included as entity references from others and automatically update such references. But files from inside the EPUB do not refer to each other using xi:include so Oxygen will not know how to automatically update those references, basically Oxygen would need some kind of EPUB-specific functionality, to know how files inside an EPUB refer to each other and it does not know that yet.
Regards,
Radu
