Documentation Generator - SVG images
I'm using the oXygen documentation generator to produce schema diagrams based on my XSDs, but I can't get the SVGs to display correctly.
In IE9, the text looks fine, but the colors are washed out.

In Chrome, the colors are correct by the text is nearly illegible.

I'm sure I've had more success in the past with this tool, but I can't imagine what would be causing this kind of result.
Also, it seems like the SVGs are using complicated clip-paths to show the text. Why not just use text?

Re: Documentation Generator - SVG images
Hi,
I have tested the generation of XML Schema Documentation using SVG as image format and I can reproduce this rendering problem in Chrome and Firefox.
I have not tested yet in IE9, but it is likely to have these problems as IE9 is the first version of Internet Explorer which support SVGs. IE11 seems to render the SVGs properly.
The SVGs are automatically generated from the canvas where the diagram is painted.
We'll investigate this problem on our side, but meanwhile as a temporary workaround you can use PNG as image format.
Regards,
Ionela

Re: Documentation Generator - SVG images
Hi iolena,
Thanks for the response.
I discovered some (maybe all) of the color problems were caused by having multiple SVGs inlined in the page, which then had conflicting clipPath and gradient definitions with the same ids. That's my fault for messing with oXygen's documentation XSLT. I guess it's probably not easy to ensure that images forming part of the same schema don't use the same internal ids.
The text issue is still annoying though, so I hope your investigations are successful.

Hi,
The text issue will be fixed in the final release of Oxygen 17 which will probably appear in a couple of weeks.
Regards,
Radu

Hi,
Actually we launched Oxygen 17 about 2 weeks ago so you can download it from our web site and test if it fixes your problem.
