Merging XML data with a dynamic PDF template
Post by giulio2301 »
How do I merge XML data with a dynamic PDF template,
designed with LiveCycle Designer, in a silent mode?
I'm designing a (set of) COM component(s) (named X) for generating,
printing and archiving PDF documents on the basis of PDF dynamic
templates and XML data from DB. This module should be integrated in an
existing distributed application.
Doc requests are fired by events either on the client or server side,
the process has to be carried on in a silent way. X has to be used on
client and server side and has to be thread-safe.
I'm considering > LiveCycle Designer for producing PDF dynamic
templates > reading XML data from database > the use of (?) to merge
data template and output a resulting PDF doc.
Questions:
1) what should (?) be? (Acrobat SDK?)
2) licensing matters for redistributing X on multiple machines along with (?) runtime?
3)is it possible?
Thanks for your precious help!

For the SDK
Post by jaymee.heigl »
For you (?), may be you can try a 3rd party SDK.
I've used one before, and it's quite fast and easy to use.
If interested you can contact sarah.macdowell@yahoo.com, she's the one liaised with me previously. Quite a helpful lady.
Hope this helps.
TQ.
