Hi,

SDL has a special web site where for each version it shows what XML editor versions are compatible with it:

For the other version: http://docs.sdl.com/LiveContent/web/ui. ... _home.html, section SDL Knowledge Center where you can select the version from the dropdown.

In the documentation of the latest version you can also see the compatibility across releases:
