How to render PDFs with GUIDs

Hello,

I am working on rendering PDFs for a client that uses GUIDs as conrefs. There are separate GUIDs found, first at the end of filenames, and then within the file at the location of the referenced text.

How can I setup Oxygen XML Editor (or Author) to render PDFs for these GUIDs instead of looking for an actual filename?

Hi Luke,

I do not quite understand. Are those resources stored on a CMS? When the topics are opened in Oxygen, does Oxygen know how to resolve the conrefs?
The publishing is done using the DITA Open Toolkit and the DITA Open Toolkit can only publish local resources.
When publishing a DITA Map from a CMS from inside Oxygen, Oxygen has a pre-processing feature in which it tries to bring remote resources to the local disk before the DITA Open Toolkit processes them but this is only available when publishing from Oxygen.
