how to insert number which is not in xml file

hi...
im having a xml file and im getting some results using xpath and im displaying the results.. while displaying the results, i want to include new attribute, serial number, which is not in xml file....
how to do it...

Hi,

Where is that information then? How do you get the XPath results? Post a sample of what you are trying to do, what you already done, what you expect and what is the actual result - otherwise it is hard to get help.
