Why each end of tags appear like blank line ?

Hi,

I want to know, and how solve it, why each end of tags appear on screen like a blank line in author mode ?

The same xml document with the same css opened in a browser appear normaly.
Maybe, a specific config can resolve this problem ?

Do you have some ideas for solve this ?
