Allow oXygen’s ${variables} inside <?xml-PIs ?>

It would be great if I could use variables defined in Preferences ► Custom editor variables inside of processing instructions.

This would significantly make life easier when specifying locations for <?xml-model ?> and <?xml-stylesheet ?> processing instructions.

I totally agree this would add flexibility. I added this as an improvement request and will update the forum thread when this gets done.

In the meantime maybe you could use XML catalogs to map resources referenced via xml-model or via xml-stylesheet to local resources:
