Plugin EA2 for Eclipse M6; suggestion for outline

Post by Manfred »

Hi,

I think there are possibilities to enhance the great new outline in Eclipse. I would be helpful to offer a possibility to see also attributes and maybe values in the outline view.

E.g. a function/button/context menu entry could allow to see/hide the attributes beside or (better?) below the elements. Another button/function/context menu entry could allow to see/hide the values beside or (better?) below the attributes.

Of course other approaches are possible and helpful.

In each case it would be great to get a FAST overview of the complete XML file.

Thanks.

I second this feature request. The Eclipse plugin XML Buddy shows attributes
in the outline view, making navigation much easier. I would suggest that if an element has an attribute such as "name", "key" or "id" this could be shown next to the element name.

Thanks,

John

Hi,

Please try out the just released <oXygen/> 3.1. It shows the fisrt attribute value or some of the text content of an element or both.

Best Regards,

Does that work with Eclipse 2.1.1?
