Can the Validate and check completeness tool be configured to exclude any error types?

Post by RobertHowe »

The biggest one, can it be set to ignore collection file content or collection file content unrelated to the map being checked?

A secondary question, can an erroro like W [ISO Schematron] Its preferable to use tm element instead of TM character?.

Thanks

Hi Robert,
Please see some answers below:
The biggest one, can it be set to ignore collection file content or collection file content unrelated to the map being checked?
The validate and check for completeness starts from a DITA Map and navigates through all its referenced submaps, topics, and links between topics. So if the validate and check for completeness reaches a certain file, this means the file is directly or indirectly referenced from the main DITA Map.
If you right click a validate and check for completeness error in the Oxygen Problems view and choose "Show message" you should see a reference stack showing how Oxygen reached that resource.
A secondary question, can an erroro like W [ISO Schematron] Its preferable to use tm element instead of TM character?.
The "Validate and check for completeness" dialog allows you to add a reference to a Schematron schema which will be applied on all validated DITA resources.
