Pretty print json within dita codeblock

When documenting JSON code, we put the code into the Online Javascript Beautifier, click Beautify Code, copy and paste into a dita <codeblock> element in Author view. It would be great if there was a refactoring tool that could beautify the code right in the codeblock element (or other monospace element like pre, screen, or msgblock). That way we could "beautify" it (indent) automatically in batch mode. This would save us a ton of time.
