Generating self-contained schemas

Post by carlosgil »

Hello.
I'd like to have the option to flatten:
- JSON schemas
- OAS specifications (OpenAPIs)
- AsyncAPIs
In other words, similarly to what you do with XSDs: embedding the external references into a self-contained file.
Thanks and best regards, Carlos Gil

Hi Carlos,

Thank you again for your feedback. Indeed, it would be a very nice feature. We have an issue related to this topic (for JSON Schema, specifically) and I mentioned your request right there. I will keep you up to date with its status.

Florin

Hi Carlos,

Actually, we have just started the development of this feature, for JSON schemas. Most likely, it will be available in the 25.1 version of Oxygen XML Editor, that is scheduled for release in March. I'll let you know when it's done.

Florin

Hi Carlos,

Some news about your feature request.
The "Flatten Schema" action is now available for JSON Schema documents in the context menus of Text and Design modes.
That starts with version 25.1 of the Oxygen suite, which has just been released.
Follow the link below for more details:
