insert media not available
Post by typewriter4 »
I am using Oxygen Editor 18.1 - In the user guide and video tutorials, Oxygen shows you can insert media from the toolbar. I don't see this icon, and when I go to configure my toolbar, it does not even show up as an option. I see, insert image, but no insert media.
any ideas?

Re: insert media not available
Hi,
I will assume you are using the DITA standard. All the DITA-related toolbar and menu actions are contributed by the DITA framework configuration which by default is located in OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR/frameworks/dita.
Did you define in the Preferences->Document Type Association page an extension of the base DITA framework configuration?
Did you make any changes to the Preferences->Document Type Association / Locations page? For example did you point to a custom frameworks folder which contains a modified DITA framework configuration? Because if you use your custom DITA framework customization you will not get the toolbar actions which are defined in the default DITA framework customization.
If you open a DITA topic and then from the Window top-menu you use Show View->Properties, the properties view should show you the name of the document type association that you are using.
Regards,
Radu
