ID attributes for equation domain

oXygen's support for the new DITA equation domain is great to have.
I've written a PDF5 customisation to automatically number and cross-reference <equation-block> elements, but of course each such element (or, at least, each one which has an child <equation-number>) will need an ID attribute.

Can oXygen be hacked (for the time being) to generate one automatically, as it does for many other elements?

Hi Pat,

After you open the DITA topic in the Author mode, in the DITA main menu there is an ID Options... action which you can configure to tell Oxygen for what elements it should automatically generate an ID.
In your case you can add one more entry like:
