Would like something similar in functionality to http://www.maschek.hu/imagemap, where you can easily create the appropriate image maps for DITA and DocBook.

This would be indeed an interesting feature to have, we already have it registered on our issues list and I will try to increase the issue priority and schedule it possibly to be resolved in Oxygen 18, next year.

One more thing I forgot:

So possibly Oxygen 18 (spring next year) will possibly have this support but there is also the possibility to create a plugin for Oxygen which would add this functionality, for example my colleague Alex created such a sample plugin for the TEI framework:

so if the client wants this sooner and if they have a Java developer or if they are willing to pay Comtech for this we could try to guide them/you to construct a plugin.

Hi,

Just to update this thread, Oxygen 18.0 should have builtin support for editing image maps for Docbook, DITA, TEI and XHTML.
