Docbook xslTNG stylesheets

Post by opeongo »

Does Oxygen Docbook framework support the xslTNG stylesheets?
If not, is this something that I can implement easily with the Webhelp Classic transformation scenario?

Hi,
Oxygen does not have any builtin support for the xslTNG project.
So if you want to use xslTNG to publish documentation, you will need to run publishing from the command line according to the xslTNG documentation.
The Oxygen WebHelp Classic DocBook publishing is based on the original DocBook stylesheets so moving it to be based on the xslTNG project is not something trivial. We have an internal issue for this but I cannot give you a timeline as our work is mostly focused on DITA XML editing and publishing.

Thanks for the information.
I quite like the appearance and usability of WebHelp Classic, so I am not looking to switch. The CSS styling options in xslTNG seem like nice features. but I really don't know enough about these implementations. to say if it worth the effort to upgrade.
