Can values for Platform profiling attribute be set at framework level?
Post by ann.jensen »
Hi,
The values for the Platform profiling attribute default to linux, mac, solaris, and windows.
Can these values be configured at a framework level so that when using that framework, the author will be presented with a different collection of default values?
Thanks in advance,
Ann

Re: Can values for Platform profiling attribute be set at framework level?
Hi Ann,
Profiling attribute names/values can not be saved in a framework configuration but they can be saved at project level:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... __d1638e96
In this way if all your colleagues would load in the Oxygen Project view the same "project.xpr" file they would get the same settings.
Or my recommendation would be to create a Subject Scheme map which defines the profiling attribute names and values and make it part of your project.
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... e-map.html
We do this for the Oxygen user's manual for example:
https://github.com/oxygenxml/userguide/ ... ls.ditamap
Regards,
Radu

Since we would be opening DITA content via the Tridion Docs Authoring Bridge in Oxygen, is there any way to automate the syncing of such a project file (from the TD server) and auto-open it so that the author doesn't have to manually select Project -> Open?
Ideally we would not want to introduce any more manual steps for the author.
Regards,
Ann

Hi Ann,
Tridion may have its own ways of imposing custom Oxygen options to end users, especially in this case of profiling attribute names.
Please try to ask Tridion about this first.

Hi ann,
If you have profiling values and colors defined in your Oxygen .xpr file and you want to convert them to standard DITA subject scheme values, you can use the refactoring operation provided here:
Converting .xpr Profiling Conditions to Standard DITA Files (Oxygen XML Blog)
