User-created plugin not importing
Hello all;
Following the instructions at
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... -ot-plugin
I tried to create a new plugin. (org.dita.html.confluence) by cloning org.dita.html5 and changing all occurrences of "HTML5" to "html.confluence".
However, when I tried to add it (using "Run DITA-OT Integrator"), the plugin is not listed as an option on the restart.
Plugin locations is: C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor\frameworks\dita\DITA-OT3.x\plugins\org.dita.html.confluence
What have I done amiss?
Grant

Re: User-created plugin not importing
Hi Grant,
I'm not sure, in the plugin.xml there is an @id attribute set on the root element, you should change that to something else. Also modify the transtype name.
In general I would be interested in adding such a plugin in the DITA OT bundled with Oxygen but we have not investigated what it would take.
I think that most people would import the HTML5 generated by Oxygen in Confluence.
Have you created some kind of list with things that you would want to modify to the HTML5 output in order for the import to be better?
Or do you actually want to generate the Confluence wiki format?
Regards,
Radu

Re: User-created plugin not importing
One more thing, after running the integrator, if you use the "Configure Transformation Scenarios" toolbar button, it just lists a fixed list of predefined scenarios. You can use the "New" button there, choose "DITA OT transformation" and you will be presented with a list of all transtypes.

Re: User-created plugin not importing
Hi,
Recently I looked more into exporting DITA content to Confluence.
I've had the most success by going from DITA to MS Word and using the internal import mechanism:
