DITAToo and Oxygen XML integration
Post by True_thrush »
Hi,
Is anyone here using DITAToo in conjuction with Oxygen XML Author?
My company is using Oxygen XML with SVN repo but we want to switch to DITAToo CMS and are encountering various issues along the way. We are liaising with DitaTOO support, they are responsive but we encounter hurdles along the way. Before delving into specifics I'd like to see if there is anyone actually using DitaTOO with Oxygen XML and would be willing to provide some insights. In theory, these tools should work together.
Intuillion, authors of DitaTOO is listed here as partner:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/partners.html
Same on Intuillion's page, Oxygen XML is listed as partner:
http://www.ditatoo.com/about-us/partners/
And DITAToo also advertises integration with OxygenXML

Re: DITAToo and Oxygen XML integration
Hi,
Our forum is a more static place, all the users registered on the forum will not receive notifications for each newly posted topic unless they explicitly chose to.
So if you want to ask this question to Oxygen users, you should register on the Oxygen Users List:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/mailman/listinfo/oxygen-user
and ask there.
Or better yet register and ask on the DITA Users List (Yahoo Groups).
From past conversations I had there are indeed users who are working with Oxygen and DITAToo.
But as far as I know DITAToo does not have an explicit support for Oxygen, they did not create an Oxygen plugin to provide special CMS functionality from inside Oxygen. For example from Oxygen you cannot write a commit message when saving content to the CMS.
Oxygen has generic support for the WebDav protocol and DITAToo implements it, meaning that from Oxygen you can browse resources on the DITAToo CMS, open, modify and save them back. But you do not have support for example to see a history for a certain resource from the CMS directly from inside Oxygen.
Regards,
Radu
