New line before inline elements in TEI
Post by DominiqueM »
It seems that oXygen want to have element <emph> on a new line, thus creating a white space, even if there is not, for example between parenthesis: (<emph>something</emph) or after an apostrophe like: l’<emph>apostrophe</emph>. In these two cases, the white space is faulty.
Is this a bug or do I miss something? In my view, sending all or most inline elements to a new line does not improve the readability of the code.

Re: New line before inline elements in TEI
Hello,
We just tried to reproduce the issue you have reported but, unfortunately we could not make that happen on our side using oXygen v14.1.
Which oXygen edition / version are you using ?
Could you please provide more details about the way you are inserting the specified text? Do you insert that manually in a TEI P4/P5 document or do you copy/paste it in from some other source? Are you trying this while in the Text mode or in the Author mode?
Does this happen for any position/context in the document or only for some specific position/context?
In case that only reproduces for specific context, in order to notice the context and investigate this further, could you please send us some sample with the issue and which to reflect it's relevant context (you could send us the sample on support AT oxygenxml DOT com)?
Regards,
Costin
