PDF image rendering w/ XEP

When run from oXygen 14.0 XEP generates the PDF but does not resolve referenced image files:

transform.fo2pdf.xep:
[java] EXCEPTION: Failed to create image file:/C:/dita/test/topics/images/insertBattery.jpg of type null

No other FO processors throw this exception.

There have been some discussions in the past on the DITA Users List about this:

Maybe you should also address RenderX XEP about this problem.
But first you might want to try and re-save the image to JPG, maybe it is saved to another format (despite having the JPG extension) or maybe there are errors reading the image in the XEP processor.
Most of the people who had this problem either converted the image to PNG or re-saved it to JPG and the problem seemed to be fixed.
