GUI fail when launching 11.2 via oxygenMac.sh
Running Oxygen 11.2 on Snow Leopard, and notice that if I launch via oxygenMac.sh that double-clicking xml files in the finder no longer opens the file in Oxygen. I get a notification window saying it is opening the file, and then nothing happens. I also notice I cannot cut and paste anything into any of the perspective/tool dialog boxes (e.g., quick search, xpath search, etc).
Help.
Help.

Re: GUI fail when launching 11.2 via oxygenMac.sh
Hello,
You are right about the double-clicking of XML files in the Finder when Oxygen is launched via oxygenMac.sh. However since this support is inherent to the Oxygen.app launcher things get complicated. We'll have to see if we can provide a fallback for when it is launched via oxygenMac.sh.
Regarding the fields you have mentioned(quick search, xpath search), they are only active when a file is open. And the XPath field is only active for XML files.
Regards,
Adrian

Yes. I'm saying, if you launch O via the shell and then open an xml file and attempt to paste in value into either the quick search or xpath field, you will likely paste into the document window instead.Regarding the fields you have mentioned(quick search, xpath search), they are only active when a file is open. I can't reproduce this. This is what I'm doing and it works fine for me:mstoef wrote:Yes. 1. I open a Terminal and I type:
sh /path/to/oxygen/oxygenMac.sh
2. After Oxygen starts I open an XML file ([Oxygen_folder]/samples/personal.xml).
3. I start TextEdit, open a text file or type something in it, I select some text in it and I copy it(either Meta+C or the Copy action from the contextual menu).
4. I click in the Quick find or in the XPath field in Oxygen and paste(either Meta+V or Paste from the contextual menu) and it works.
What are you doing different?

Adrian

Re: GUI fail when launching 11.2 via oxygenMac.sh
If I follow your procedure exactly, the pasted text ends up in the editor window and not in the quick search or xpath window. Is this a java version or Mac OS X version issue?
I am OS X v. 10.6.3 ...
with java ...
java version "1.6.0_20"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_20-b02-279-10M3065)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.3-b01-279, mixed mode)

Strange, I have the same Mac OS X and Java versions.
What build number of Oxygen are you running(Help -> About, first row)?
If you start Oxygen normally with Oxygen.app does it do the same thing?
