Cannot Launch Oxygen XML Editor 8.2

Every time I try to launch I get jvm out of memory errors. I've increased it in the oxygen.ini and oxygen.bat files with no success. Here's my fatal error message. Please help.

Hello,

Do you use Oxygen 8.2 on Windows? Do you start it with the shortcut created by the installer or with the script oxygen.bat? In the second case the memory parameter -Xmx must be set in oxygen.ini, in the second case it must be set in oxygen.bat. What is the value that you have currently for the -Xmx parameter?

If you tried to start Oxygen 8.2 with the shortcut please try also to start it using the oxygen.bat script in a command line. Does it start with this script? Are other errors displayed in the command line where you run the oxygen.bat script?

Does Oxygen try to open a very large file automatically at startup because that fiel was opened the last time you could start Oxygen successfully? If yes press the Cancel button in the progress dialog that is displayed when Oxygen tries to open the file.
