How to install 10.3 Editor on Mac OS?
Can you provide more complete installation instructions for installing Oxygen 10.3 for Mac OS 10? What do I do with the oxygen.tar.gz file I just downloaded?
Your download site says "A new version of <oXygen/> should not be installed in the same folder as a previous version." So exactly where do I install the new version ? (I have version 10.2 in my Applications folder now, but I don't remember how it got there.)
Please understand that not all us are computer wizards. Some us are just trying to learn XML. We'd really appreciate some help on the basics, especially installing the program.
Thanks.

Hello,
A double click on the downloaded install kit called oxygen.tar.gz unpacks the kit and creates a folder called oxygen. This oxygen folder is the install folder. You start Oxygen from this folder by a double click on the Oxygen icon contained in the folder.
If you want to move this folder to the Applications folder as for version 10.2 you should rename or remove the old folder called oxygen before moving version 10.3 there. Otherwise the files of the new version are mixed with the files of the old version. This is the second installation instruction of the Mac OS X section on the Download page, the one that you quoted.
Regards,
Sorin

Re: How to install 10.3 Editor on Mac OS?
Thanks for the speedy reply re installing 10.3 on a Mac.
I did try double clicking the tar.gz file but it appeared to create an oxygen folder on my desktop. Not what I expected. I clicked "stop" when I realized this, and the "installer" quit with an error.
If I repeated the install double click, and got an oxygen folder on my desktop, can I just drag that whole oxygen folder inside my Applications folder?
Do any files need to be moved to the System/Library folder or elsewhere? Or do all the necessary files stay inside the oxygen folder, no matter where that oxygen folder located?
