Auto-specifying an XML Schema
Post by stuart »
Hi,
I'm hoping to use <Oxygen/> to allow some of my fellow collegues to write XML pages with some simple instructions. These are likely to be people with little knowledge of XML, but some HTML experience. As a result of this I would like to create a template or something similar which they can create a new document from... however, it would be far simpler for me if it were possible to click the new button, select XML and then have the XML schema location and document root pre-filled.
I was just interested if there was an easy way of doing this?
If not I can just set up a black document with all that already inserted and make it read-only.
Any advice grately recieved tho.
Cheers.

Dear Stuart,
We have support for working with document templates. Please take a look at the oXygen user guide and look at "Editing Documents/Working with Documents" chapter. There are 3 subsections that describes working with document templates:
- Creating Documents based on Templates
- Creating New Templates
- Shareing Templates
You can download the user guide as pdf [1] or look online at [2], [3] and [4].
