oXygen 3.1 does not act on extension settings

The editing preferences that I define for file types (in the options/preferences/filetypes section) are only used during the session that I set the preference. Once I restart oXygen, the file is interpreted as if it is a text-file.

Scenario:
- Start oXygen
- Set a file type preference (e.g. myxml, to be edited as XML)
- Open a file with that extension (e.g. myfile.myxml)
* The file is edited with the XML editor
- Close oXygen
- Start oXygen
- Open the same file
* The file is edited as a text file

Platform: win2k, standalone, j2re 1.4.2

Hi,

Just tried your scenario and worked ok for me.
It seems that the options are either not saved or overwritten. Do you run in the same time the Eclipse plugin ? Please make some other changes like the font size for instance and see if that disapears too after a restart. The options are stored in [user.dir]/com.oxygenxml folder. Although it is unlikely that you do not have access rights to write there you might check this as well.
