Performance Issues with oXygen on Windows Server
When running on Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Datacenter (Version 10.0.20348, Build 20348), oXygen XML Editor 26.1 (build 2025060207) exhibits significant performance issues that affect all operations. For instance, launching the application, opening settings, running XPath queries, and even scrolling XML.files (up to few Mbs) and others.
The same oXygen version with the same data performs well locally.
There is no issues with IDEs like e.g. PyCharm.
Could you advise where we should start troubleshooting this?
Thank you.

Re: Performance Issues with oXygen on Windows Server
Hi Oleksii,
We no longer maintain Oxygen 26:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/eol.html
Out of curiosity could you try to install and use a trial license with Oxygen 28.1 on that server? Oxygen 28.1 comes with a newer Java version and maybe this will help.
Other than that, there may be various problems, maybe there is some kind of antivirus slowing it down, or a slow hard drive. One could probably enable full debug logging in Oxygen by adding a logback.xml file in the installation folder, the procedure for Oxygen 28.1 is here:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... -form.html
and procedure for Oxygen 26.1:
https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... -form.html
Once you get the debug logging in the "oxygenLog" folder you can zip it, send it to us and we can look into it, maybe we can find something in the logs. We have a tech support form on which one can attach a zip: https://www.oxygenxml.com/techSupport.html
Regards,
Radu
