Two copies of the same file open in the same editor

Oxygen XML Editor 26.1

A single file has somehow been opened in the same instance of XML Editor, the only difference being the URL listed in the top bar, where they differ from each other only in instances of capitalization:

The way I got here was by opening the file, then in Author mode I fired a customized action (XSLT transform). The result was a second version of the file, opened in Text mode.

In version 27.1, I could not replicate exactly the same behavior, but I was able do something similar: open up one copy of the file from the Project view, which results in a path that is all lowercase, then CTRL+O open a file and navigate to the same file. A second copy of the same file is opened, with the path preserving uppercase.

I have not tried to do this in version 28.0.

Also, when I close Oxygen and reopen, the duplicate copies reload.

Hi,

I cannot reproduce the problem when opening files from the local disk but I can reproduce it when opening a file from a shared remote folder like in your case.
I added an internal issue for it:
EXM-56814 Oxygen has ability to open same file from shared network drive twice

In the meantime you can close one of those tabs and continue as usual.
