Automating the process of creating maps

I have a bookmap which has approximately 100 chapters with multiple topics within each chapter . We need to generate the output PDF separately for each chapter. For this purpose, I am planning to create a map for each chapter. Is there any way to speed up the process. That is, to speed up the process of creating the maps, adding the chapters and topic references to each map.

Hello,

There's no automatic process to generate the ditamaps for each chapter, however you can do it manually on each chapter by using Refactoring > Extract to New DITA Map... action in the DITA Maps Manager contextual menu.
