JNI Exception: Failed to create the Java VM
I just purchased and installed Oxygen 8.2. I'm using Windows XP SP2 with all the latest patches. I had Java Runtime Environment Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_11-b03) installed prior to installing Oxygen (not sure this is relevant or not).
I downloaded the larger of the two installers. The first time I launched the app, no problems. now when I attempt to launch I get the error below.
I have 2gb of ram installed. I've tried closing all other apps and restarting my machine but still am unable to get the executable to launch.

Code: Select all
JNI Exception: Failed to create the Java VM Reason: not enough memory.

Hello,
Is it a Tablet PC computer running Windows XP? This error was reported on some Tablet PC computers when oXygen is started with the Start menu shortcut or the Desktop shortcut and we are working on it.
Please try to start oXygen from command line with the script oxygen.bat located in the install folder, by default C:\Program Files\Oxygen XML Editor 8.2. For example you can open a command line console, change the working directory to the oXygen install folder and run the command:
Does oXygen start correctly using the oxygen.bat script?
Regards,
Sorin
