Oxygen version not resetting in Eclipse plugin

I have a license for <oXygen/> 6 but not for version 8. I've tried to uninstall the plugin several times and reinstall but for some reason it keeps telling me that I need a license for version 8. Any ideas?

If you have a license for version 6 then that will work only with 6.x releases. You can find them on our software archive [1] page, version 6.2 works with Eclipse 3.1 and version 6.1 works with Eclipse 3.0.

Ok, didn't know there was a plugins folder. I was using the uninstall feature of eclipse to uninstall the plugin and it wasn't deleting the oxygen 8 so everytime i installed v6 it still thought it was 8. I ended up uninstalling in eclipse then deleting the oxygen plugin from the plugin directory then installing the old version and it worked.
