Upgrade instructions?

When I upgraded to oXygen 8.1 from 8.0, I just overwrote all the files and of course lost all my settings. Are there any upgrade instructions for 8.2, or at least a list of files that would contain settings so that I don't overwrite them this time?

I am using a Mac.

Hello,

In the User Manual we recommend to install a new oXygen version in a different folder.

The user settings are stored in other folder which is a subfolder of [your-home-folder]/Library/Preferences and are not lost when you install a new version of oXygen. It does not matter that you installed versions 8.0 and 8.1 in the same folder. The user settings are stored in a different folder and should not be lost if you do not remove them yourself from disk. Did you remove them from [your-home-folder]/Library/Preferences?

Ah yes, all I had to do was put it in a different folder. I wonder why settings were overwritten last time, but I certainly didn't delete anything in Library/Preferences...

Please give us more details about the settings overwritten by installing a new version of oXygen. What settings were overwritten and how did you find that they were overwritten?
